The Walk
Nuts for Mutts - The Walk joins animal lovers in a 5K walk to raise funds for New Leash On Life's education, rehabilitation and adoption programs, including Lend a Paw. Lend a Paw builds on the legacy created by New Leash On Life by rescuing animals, facilitating their rehabilitation and training and using the rescued animals as Social/Therapy dogs for children and adults with illness or disabilities in need of healing, acceptance, and love.
A fun Cross Country course through the rolling hills of Pierce College, overlooking the San Fernando Valley. The route will have "Pawzstations" with plenty of water stops, food and fun! Walk with your dog, kids or just yourself.
How do I participate?
Registration is FREE. Gather support from friends, family and colleagues to meet your minimum Walk for Paws fundraising goal of $150 (or more). Have supporters sponsor you, download tools to help you fundraise and more.
How your fundraising helps!
Funds raised from Nuts for Mutts the Walk help support New Leash On Life Animal Rescue, allowing us to rescue and care for the many homeless animals needing our help. Your fundraising will also help support our Lend a Paw program. This exciting program builds on the legacy created by New Leash On Life by rescuing animals, facilitating their rehabilitation and training and using the rescued animals in one-on-one and group therapeutic settings for people with disabilities, senior citizens or those going through recovery.
